Welcome

Hi, welcome to my blog. This is the first blogging I've done, so if anyone finds this, I hope you'll bear with me. I'm a married with two grown kids and a dog. My DH and I recently moved half way across the country, to return to our home state. He's retired and I'm looking for work, although not too hard. I'm also trying to start a home-based business, which I hope will flourish so I don't have to go back to a regular "day job".

I love doing machine embroidery. That's what I'm trying to do in my business. So my latest project is to upcycle old text books into treasure boxes. I found several tutorials online, and I'm working to combine them and make a set of instructions for myself that will work well for me. I'm making them with an embroidered cloth cover, and I think this one looks really cool. The design is from Urban Threads.
